The First Major OTA Upgrade of AVATR 11

March 31, 2023 (Shanghai) – AVATR Technology announced that the first major OTA upgrade is available to all AVATR 11 from today on. This upgrade decodes 17 novel features including PRA and optimizes additional user experience features, kicking off the upgraded smart driving journey for all AVATR users and making AVATR one of SEV (Smart Electric Vehicle) brands that have released major OTA upgrades the quickest after delivery.

RPA unveils new smart parking experience in China

As the highlight of this major OTA upgrade, the PRA allows users to park and unpark their cars in and out of parallel, perpendicular parking, and angle parking spaces remotely via a mobile app. This feature not only addresses parking challenges when getting in and out of the car is difficult, but also opens intelligent induction electric doors automatically, providing a comfortable and elegant hop in and out experience.

All exciting features from highway NCA (Navigation Cruise Assist) and APA (Auto Parking Assist) to city NCA and RPA are resulted from the integration of software and hardware required in the pursuit of great perception, computility, and algorithms, allowing for all-scenarios smart driving assists and making AVATR 11 competent for complex traffic environments and unpredictable daily mobility scenarios.

Security update decodes four smart driving functions

This major version upgrade also includes four safety functions designed to ensure the safety of both passengers inside the car and pedestrians outside the car.

The FCTB (Forward Cross-Traffic Braking) and RCTB (Rear Cross-Traffic Braking) enable the detection of moving objects crossing in front or behind the vehicle when it drives within a certain speed range, provide collision warnings, and assist the user in braking in emergencies.

When the user is reversing the vehicle, the RAEB (Rear Automatic Emergency Braking) function will stop the car immediately if a pedestrian standing or walking slowly within the reverse range is detected and a potential collision risk is foreseen.

When a risk of rear-end collision is detected, the RCW (Rear Collision Warning) will send audio-visual alerts to the user and warn the following vehicle by lights.

17 new features and more optimizations

The first major version upgrade has decoded 17 functions in addition to optimized details, bringing users a more comfortable intelligent driving experience. This upgrade also covers the details as follows:

The new ability to remotely turn on/off seat heating via the mobile app provides a warm and comfy cabin for users in cold weather. With the new intelligent voice controls, users can open/close the charging port cover, lift up/lower down the electric spoiler, adjust energy recovery intensity, and enable in-car entertainment functions such as taking pictures and listening to music through voice commands. Digital birthday surprises would not be missed on user’s birthday by sending out best wishes in the forms of music and lights, a smart way of expressing emotional care. The efficiency of charging reservations and convenience of plugging/unplugging the charging gun are improved together with optimized parking experience.


The software upgrade is identified as AVATR.OS 1.1.0 and will be pushed to AVATR 11 and AVATR 011 users by phase. Thanks to the decoupling of software from hardware in the architecture CHN, a new intelligent electric vehicle platform, AVATR 11 is able to continuously iterate itself and makes an “ever-evolving and ever-intelligent" experience available to users.

As the first product that reflects AVATR brand’s access to the field of intelligent electric vehicles, AVATR 11 has ranked first by the number of insured vehicles among high-end electric SUVs priced above RMB 300,000 in China in the first four weeks in March, given its remarkable intelligent driving capabilities, leading the way in the premium SEV market.
