As Expected, AVATR 11 and AVATR 011 Series SUVs Officially off the Line

December 20, 2022 (Chongqing) — Production vehicles of the AVATR 11 and AVATR 011 emotional intelligence (EI) -based SUVs rolled off the line at the Chongqing plant. AVATR is thus the SEV brand that took the shortest time from brand launch to production, demonstrating the efficiency and quality of the CHN cooperation model and the success of horizontal and cross-industry integrations. By the end of December 2022, the brand will officially begin to deliver AVATR 11.

Mr. TAN Benhong, Chairman and CEO of AVATR Technology, Mr. WANG Jun, COO of Huawei Intelligent Automotive Solution Business Unit and President of Intelligent Driving Solution Product Line, and Mr. QU Tao, Assistant to the Chairman and General Manager of Strategic Investment Planning of CATL, witnessed this milestone and had a dialogue on the outstanding product performance of AVATR 11.

Mr. TAN Benhong commented: “Since the launch of the AVATR 11, we have been listening to the voice of users and based on that, made all-around optimizations to acoustics, seat length and electric doors, as well as performed an all-terrain durability test of 320,000 km and 20 iterations for software development. This is to ensure that each vehicle delivered is in its best condition. In order to facilitate delivery, we are rapidly expanding our channels, and as we have committed, we are going to cover 200 channel touchpoints by the end of this year.”

Mr. WANG Jun pointed out: “The intelligent driving software used for the AVATR 11 is being rapidly optimized so that a major version is released every month and a minor version every week*. We expect the software to get smarter over time and learn more about users to provide a better user experience.” He also announced the deployment progress of NCA (Navigation Crusie Assist) in urban environments, “The NCA will be accessible to AVATR 11 owners in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Guangzhou in March 2023, and subsequently will be available in other cities as well.”

As the first product generated on the CHN technology platform, the AVATR 11 has taken the lead in the SEV era ahead of others with its three features — new architecture, strong computing power and high-voltage charging capability. AVATR 11 is unrivaled in appearance, overall performance and smartness: AVATRANS (AVATR Autopilot Navigation System) offers the 360° sensing capability that covers all scenarios including highways, urban areas and parking lots; the Huawei DriveONE dual-motor 4WD system allows the robust performance that it takes only 3.98 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h; CATL ternary lithium battery pack provides a charging power up to 240kW and a 10-minute charge can support a travel of 200 km, helping users get rid of range anxiety.

AVATR 011, an edition limited to only 500 vehicles worldwide, was jointly designed by Matthew M. Williams (abbreviated as MMW) and Nader Faghihzadeh (Chief Design Officer of the AVATR Design Center in Germany). This encounter between fashion and car design brings smart cars into the community of luxury products. The shadow black exclusive to MMW used for AVATR 011 defines a feeling of casual luxury, and perfectly presents the technological interactions with emotional intelligence while expressing a modern fashion, thus making the SUV a trendsetter in cross-field integration.

 At the same time, AVATR touchpoints are being developed steadily through diverse channels. Since August 8, 2020 when the first batch of Experience Centers opened, physical touchpoints have been set in first-tier cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Also new first-tier cities like Hangzhou, Chengdu and Wuhan offer a real and interesting lifestyle as well as efficient and considerate services to users. The first AVATR Centers conveniently provide users with all-functional services, including product experience, sales, delivery and after-sales services. By the end of 2022, AVATR will cover over 200 channel touchpoints across the country to facilitate the delivery of its premium products and services.

On the day the AVATR 11 and AVATR 011 production SUVs rolled off the line, AVATR Technology and CATL signed an agreement to deepen their strategic cooperation on a comprehensive basis. By fully leveraging their respective resources, they will collaborate on the development of lithium batteries, the application of new materials, and the development of vehicle parts. They will jointly build an industry-leading battery supply system to help AVATR develop more high-end SEVs.
